Chhaava to release with some more cuts

Vicky Kaushal’s film ‘Chhaava’ is making news for right and wrong reasons. The film is set to release in theatres soon and the CBFC has made some relevant cuts to the film.

Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s film ‘Chhaava’ which is set to release this week, has been creating a lot of buzz all across the country. Vicky has been promoting all over India, by meeting people from all walks of life. However, before the film is released we have heard that the CBFC will be making some cuts to the film and some parts of the film have been asked to be deleted by religious bodies in Maharashtra. Some political outfits in Maharashtra were not okay with the way Shambhaji Maharaj was portrayed in the trailer of the film, played by Vicky Kaushal. A dialogue in the film that includes the expletive ‘ har#mz#da’ will be deleted. The word ‘Ameen’ has been replaced with ‘Jai Bhavani’. The dialogue ‘mughalon ka zeher’ has also been altered.

A lot of other dialogues have either been changed or altered or been muted. A lot of political outfits in Maharashtra expressed displeasure and the film’s director Laxman Uttekar had to comply with the changes. The film is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Rashmika Mandanna plays his wife and the role of Aurangzeb will be played by Akshaye Khanna. The movie is set to hit the screens on 14th February.
